Huge collective haul

Hello there!
Long time no speak, I have been doing a little bit of shopping recently and thought I'd collect it all up to show you what I have found.

 -Bourjois bronzing powder
-Maybelline the rocket volum' express
-Revlon colorburst lip butter in wild watermelon
-Rimmel London scadaleyes waterproof kohl kajal in nude
-Real techniques expert face brush
-Bourjois healthy mix in N52 vanilla
Bourjois blush in 41 healthy mix
-Maybelline color show polka dots in 201 speckled pink and 200 rain forest canopy
-Mac eye shadow in shroom

I took a trip into Birmingham a few week ago and couldn't resist having a look round superdrug. This was not a good idea as when I got to the till my heart dropped a little. It does not help the situation when Bourjois have a spend £12 and get a free blush (as it was such a pretty blush pot I just had to spend that £12). I have been wanting to try a different foundation for a while recently and I have saw a few reviews on the Healthy Mix from Bourjois so I thought I would give it a try. It seems to give quite a nice dewy look and seems to last through the day if I powder on top. I have also been trying the Maybelline rocket mascara and I can see what everyone is raving about...this product (dramatic pause) is amazing. Right, I'm not going to rave on about how great the expert face brush is and why I didn't already have this before...I do not know. It is truly amazing.
Oh yeah, nearly forgot about the Revlon lip butter. I have been searching for wild watermelon for ages and I could not find it anywhere. So guess what...I brought it.

This product is also amazing. This is the most pretty eye shadow shade that I have ever seen, its a beautiful shimmer so its a great highlighter. I wear this everyday at school as just a bit of colour on my lid and in the inner corner then a little bit of liquid liner very thinly on the lash line. I apply a little bit on my brow bone as well as a highlight. This look is so simple but so pretty, it widens your eyes so much and you don't need much on the cheeks or contour (well this is what works best for me).

There is nothing really interesting about these products, I'd ran out of my others so these are just repurchases. I've brought them recently so I just thought 'why not add them into my haul?':) It is just the simple eye makeup remover and the soothing facial toner. I also purchased the skin therapy deep cleansing chin & forehead strips because I thought I'd just give these a blast.

Right, I went a little mad on hair products recently as my hair is going through a very dry stage. At the minute my hair, just does not want to do anything...it is boring. Both the Toni&Guy and Aussie were both on offer. The Toni&Guy ones were on offer for 3 for £12 and these were recommended by my friend (Just Another Beauty Obsessive: http://justanotherbeautyobsessive1.blogspot.co.uk/). She told me that these were great and as they were on offer and I wanted to try a new shampoo...I could not resist. I purchased the shampoo and conditioner for brunette hair and also the heat protection mist.
As for the Aussie products, I brought these because they smell nice (I'm a sucker for nice smells) these were on offer in wilkinsons for 3 for £10 if i remember correctly and they seem to be a nice product but not really had any changes in my hair but time will tell! I picked up the take the heat shampoo and conditioner and the 3 minute miracle recostructor deep conditioner...this seems quite good:)

So yeah, hope you enjoyed this haul.

Weekend

Hello there,
before you start reading this blog post it may not seem beauty related but there is some beauty stuff included you'll just have to read on a little.
On Saturday, I got my daith pierced *ouch* yes it did hurt a little and guess what...I fainted, yes that's right I fainted. It was so scary because I've never fainted before and it made me feel really ill which wasn't good:(

But hey ho, I felt sorry for myself and took a little trip into superdrug, it wasn't to spend a lot of money but I just slipped into the mua section because I know mua is very good for its money and is very cheap, so yes I couldn't resist. I just picked up two of the matt eyeshadows, the annoying thing about mua is that they never give the name of the shade they just give them numbers...don't know if that's just me that finds that annoying haha? Well yeah I picked up shade 20 which is the charcoal/grey/black shade which I thought may come in handy for just day to day makeup like a smoky eye or something I don't know, or to maybe just use on the lash line or something to experiment with I suppose. The other shade I picked up is shade 19 which is a dark browny colour which could be used for the same sort of eye technique I suppose. I did try a quick smoky eye but it is not very good as it was literally a 5 minute quick application as I didn't have much time and just wanted to get this post up for you. I used the charcoal colour on the lid and the browny colour in the crease and then use a black liquid liner and just a gold shimmer shadow from accessorize just for in the inner corners and a little bit on the lid.

I also brought one of the superdrugs own brand blending brush, I purchased this because I want to start building up my makeup brush collection and I needed some new blending brushes and seen as I don't really have the money to be splashing out on any mac 217 brushes at the moment I thought I'd give this one a try as it was only £1.99 so it doesn't really matter if it isn't any good, I did use this brush for the smoky eye I did below so you can be the judge of how good it has worked. I don't think it is a soft as the 217 brushes but that is expected obviously, it is quite a sturdy brush and this meant that it took a while to blend but it did the job so yeah, not too bad:)
Hope you like the final look, please comment on my posts to tell me what you like and dislike about my posts, it would be very helpful...bye:)

Life update and NOTD

Hello there!
Well sorry to disappoint you, but here's another boringish (if that's a word?) blog post...as I have said in a few other posts, I have no money. No money means no spending money on beauty products which I know, it very upsetting. I have infact saved £50 so next weekend I will be taking a trip into Birmingham and I may have to just slip into Selfridges and I think that some MAC products may fall into my hands (by accident) so if this does happen I will be sharing with you the delights that I have brought. But until then, nothing interesting really happens to me:( The only exciting thing that has happened to me this week is me receiving my exam timetable sheet thingy...which may not seem exciting for most people.
So yeah, that's all I've got to really share with you at the moment. Although I have just this minute gave my nails a little bit of a pamper as you can see below. I have gone with pastel green and a silver and glittery nail, how pretty. You may not be able to see the glitter but it is on the finger that I don't know what it's called...how helpful haha; it's the one between the middle and little finger:)

-models own scented apple pie
-angelica nail colour in foiled again (from primark muhahaha)
-I have no idea where the glitter is from sorry:)

So again, I am sorry about the boring posts lately the should get more interesting soon I promise

Adios.

Just a little update

Well hello there
I know I haven't done a blog post for a while and I only have one excuse for this...I HAVE NO MONEY:'(
No money means that I cannot but any new products, its very upsetting I know. I will be getting a little bit of money shortly so I will try my best to keep the blog post up and running quite regularly.

Because I have been at school, this means that I cant have pretty nails. I have managed to create a nice simple nude adding just a little bit of glitter (they cant moan about these colours) muhaha. I cant remember the nail products that i used off the top of my head, all I know is that the nude colour is from avon and I think the glitter is Barry m (I think) I have no idea what these colours or numbers are so thats all I can really tell you. I think this is just a nice simple look that is quick and easy to create and suitable for school.

So thats all I have to post about at the moment seen as I have such an interesting life...not.
cya:)

Trip to Birmingham

Yesterday I took a little trip into Birmingham with a very very late bit of Christmas money. With this £50 I purchased these items below (except friends with benefits, someone paid for that for me). I know friends with benefits has nothing to do with beauty, but its one of my favorite films so I thought i'd include it anyway:)
-River island plain grey over sized tee
-Real techniques foundation brush
-Revlon colourburst lip butter in Sorbet
-Barry M Gelly high shine nail paint in Watermelon (I think)
-MUA  pro-base conceal & brighten kit in the shade porcelain
-Cute frilly topshop socks:)
-Friends with benefits

So I tried out the real techniques foundation brush today and it was great, it left my face looking nice and smooth. To start with it made my foundation look a little streaky which worried me, but then once I fully applied the foundation it left my face looking soft. I really did notice a difference between just using makeup sponge and this brush, so I would recommend this to others. I think this is quite a versatile brush because of the shape, I think it would be suitable for contouring or highlighting maybe as it is quite an thin angelled brush. It was easy to use and I will be using this for my everyday makeup application.

I haven't yet tried out the pro-base conceal and brighten kit but will be trying that out very soon. I picked this item up as the MUA makeup is normally good value for money. I thought i'd give it a try as it had the concealers and the highlighter just for £3.50 I think which is amazing value. So yeah I will be trying this out soon and may let you all know what it is like.

I have been wearing the Revlon colourburst lip butter today and I am very impressed. It is so so creamy and just nice to wear in the day. I loved this product because they are not as heavy as normal lipsticks and are just like applying lip balms as they are so moisturizing. The colour lasted quite a while as well throughout the day which is great when you are on the go. I brought sorbet as it was such a pretty colour, it is not too bright but it is just a nice subtle pink which is nice. I will be purchasing some other shades of this lip butter, maybe some of the nude colours.

I also quite impressed with the Barry M gelly nail paint, I tried this quickly today to see what it was like and overall it is a nice product. I was very impressed with the shine and I love the colour that I picked (sorbet). It is quite bright so if you don't like bright, in your face colours then I dont recommend this one for you. I applied 2 coats and that was a great coverage, it did not take too long to dry either which was a bonus. I'm terrible when painting my nails as I do not have the patience to let them dry and I always smudge them...silly me.

I did not buy these in Birmingham, my little brother actually brought me these today which was nice of him. I haven't tried these as he only brought me them home a few hours ago and I thought i'd add these onto today blog post as its beauty related. Its the MUA hide & conceal in almond and the MUA pressed powder in shade 2.

Sorry about the non-beauty related items today, hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed buying the items:)

Bye for now

Little tiny boots haul

Seen as boots have a 3 for 2 sale on ALL makeup, I couldn't resist a little trip to see what I could find. I didn't have much money but I brought a few little things that I "needed" as us girls say;)

I didn't actually buy the simple cleansing lotion and light moisturiser today, I brought them 2 days ago and thought I might as well include them into this little haul.

- Simple: kind to skin hydrating light moisturiser
- Simple: kind to skin purifying cleansing lotion
- Collection 2000 fast stroke eyeliner
- Rimmel apocalips lip lacquer in shade celestial
- Collection 2000 lasting colour gel eyeliner in black
- Models own apple pie from the scented range

Final product
I was quite impressed with the results I got from this nail varnish, it has good shine (sorry you can't really see it properly from this picture) but it is a nice colour for spring.

I only really purchased this product because of it being scented and it having a scratch and sniff on top (this intrigued me haha) although the final product didn't really smell of apple pie which was disapointing but ah well its a pretty colour. I think that this will be getting used quite a lot in the next few weeks. Overall a nice product which I might be purchasing other colours of in the future:)

Collection 2000 lasting colour gel eyeliner

I have never tried gel eyeliner before as I'm normally a liquid eyeliner girl so I thought I'd give this a try as it was only cheap. I haven't tried it yet but I have tried it on my hand and seems to be quite good, might have to do a review on this another time maybe. The only thing which worried me a little was the size of the brush that you get with it, it is quite small but if this does not work well I will just use a normal angelled brush.

I brought this eyeliner as my other liquid eyeliner application brush has started to go a bit soft which is affecting the look of the eyeliner final result. I wear eyeliner for just my everyday makeup and needed one which was suitable just to put in my bag for quick makeup fixes throughout the day. This was only cheap so I thought I'd give it a try, overall it is a nice eyeliner which lasts quite a while throughout the day and is quick to apply. I most likely will be purchasing this again as I am pleased with the results:)

Rimmel London apocalips lip lacquer
I brought this Rimmel Apocalips lip lacquer because a lot of people have been raving about it. I have heard that it is very pigmented and lasts quite a while. I haven't yet tried this product but will very soon. I tried the tester on my hand in boots and I loved this colour which is celestial I think, it is quite a nude colour and I think this will look pretty for an everyday makeup lip colour.

Hope you enjoyed this little haul and I will be doing more soon...when I have the money;)
Adios.

My night time essentials

Recently I've been trying out lots of soap and glory products and they have been really good. Soap and glory have an amazing range of products but I like to treat myself with a little pampering before bed and these are what I like to use the most. I know my Elizabeth Arden cream isn't soap and glory but hey ho, I use it before bed:)
Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream is just amazing! If anyone has any problems with dry skin they should give it at try, I know it might be a little bit pricey but it is definitely worth it. It lasts quite a while as well and you don't need to use much when you apply it. I was very impressed with how this has helped my skin, I had slight dry patches on my forehead and chin but that cleared up in a few days of using this and it is very rare that I find a good moisturiser for my face. The one thing I didn't like about the cream is the smell, it's quite a strong smell that some people may like. You can get the fragrance free version if you really do not like it.

I just use the soap and glory deep moisture body milk as an all over moisturiser, I really love the smell as it reminds me of pancakes (might just be me haha) but its really good and is not too sticky and drys quickly which is good. So yeah this is just a nice little treat to freshen me up before bed.

The soap and glory heel genius and the hand food is just something I use to soften my feet and hands. The heel genius is a weird green colour which scared me a little when first using it, I just rub it on my feet and put some nice fluffy bed socks on to let it soak in which is nice and I have never really had any bad results from it which is nice. The hand food I normally carry round with me in my handbag anyway but it's just nice to soften my hands before bed and make me feel just a little bit cleaner.
